Questions people ask before they start
If you don't see your question here, book a call and we'll answer it.
Getting started
I've never run a business. Can I do this?
Many of our members started with no business experience. I was driving a bus in 2014.
The program gives you templates, scripts and a clear order of steps, so you're not starting from a blank page.
Do I need an office or a medical background?
You don't need a medical background. Non-medical home care covers help with bathing, meals, getting around and companionship. As the owner, you hire caregivers and run the business.
Office requirements depend on your state. Many owners start from a home office or a virtual business address. We have a guide for each state.
Will it work in my state?
We have licensing guides and requirements for every state. Each state sets its own rules and timelines.
I already own an agency. Is this for me?
Yes. If you're already licensed, we skip ahead to your care program, marketing and operations.
I'm outside the United States. Can I join?
Our programs are built around US state licensing, so they're designed for owners in the United States.
Costs
What else will I need to spend to open an agency?
An EIN and NPI are free. An LLC is $50 to $500 depending on your state. A domain is about $15 a year, a simple website around $150, and software around $200 a month.
Your state license fee varies the most, roughly $300 to $2,000 a year. Advertising is optional at the start.
How much can I make?
We don't make income projections. What you earn depends on your state, your market, your pricing and the work you put in.
What do the programs cost?
The free training costs nothing. The Academy is $997 one time. The VIP Program is $7,500 for 12 months, and financing is available.
The programs
How is the Academy different from the VIP Program?
In the Academy you follow the six-part program yourself, with templates and weekly group coaching.
In the VIP Program my team works alongside you on licensing paperwork, your care program, marketing, CRM and operations, with 12 months of weekly coaching.
Is this just another course?
The Academy includes weekly live coaching, so you're not left on your own with videos. The VIP Program adds hands-on setup from my team.
Will I compete with other members in my state?
Each owner's care program is built around their own area, so no two look the same.
What happens after my license is approved?
You move on to setting up marketing, hiring caregivers and organizing operations, with weekly coaching throughout.
What's the call like?
It's a conversation with my advisor about where you are and what you need. If a program is a good fit, they'll explain the options. If it isn't, they'll tell you.
Time and tech
I have a full-time job. Can I still do this?
Many members start while working. Plan on one to two focused hours a day.
How many hours a day does this take?
During setup, usually the first 30 to 60 days, plan on about two hours a day. Once you're running it often takes less.
I'm not comfortable with technology.
If you can send an email, you can follow along. Each step comes with a video walkthrough and a written guide.
There are already agencies in my area.
Demand for in-home care keeps growing as the population ages. A clear care program and good service help a new agency stand out.
